Formations in the Club

  1. As soon as practical after the organisation of a Pathfinder club, members should be instructed on formations. These formations are essential to maintain control and to ensure uniformity throughout drill training.
  2. ‘’Pathfinders, form up on single rank. Quick MARCH’’.
    On the command, ‘’Form up in single (two) (three)(four) rank(s)’’They shall be dressed at arms-length from the right, covering off from front to rear with one pace between ranks.

    • a group of five or fewer Pathfinders shall form a single rank
    • six to ten Pathfinders – two ranks
    • eleven to thirty Pathfinders – three ranks
    • thirty-one or more Pathfinders – four ranks.
